About the Peacemakers Label

The Peace through Sport Map brings together the islands of peace: community initiatives that use sport for peace, led by organisations around the world, on an interactive map designed by Peace and Sport.

Some of these organisations hold the Peacemakers Label, which recognises community programmes that use sport as a tool for peace. The platform makes these initiatives visible, makes it easier to contact the organisations behind them and gives them a private area.

Two statuses on the map

  • Labelled

It holds the Peacemakers Label, awarded after Peace and Sport reviewed its application. Green marker on the map.

  • Member

It is referenced by Peace and Sport and presents its work on its profile. Blue marker on the map.

Location and privacy

An organisation can be located at country level only: no precise position is then published. Its contact details are only shown if it has agreed to it.
